Insurance
Good Coping Counseling does not accept direct payment from any insurance companies at this time. If you prefer to use your insurance benefits for psychotherapy services, you may still be able to do so. As an out-of-network (OON) provider, Good Coping Counseling is able to provide you with weekly Superbills, which are a receipt for the payments you have made for therapy sessions. You may be able to submit this document to your insurance company for direct (although typically only partial) reimbursement of therapy services. Whether or not your insurance company will reimburse you, and how much you may be reimbursed for each session, will depend on your specific plan.
Please contact your insurance company directly, for information regarding your eligibility and reimbursement rates for working with an out-of-network provider for behavioral health.
*Important Note regarding Medicaid Insurance*
Most insurance companies will allow you to pay an out-of-network provider out of pocket if you so choose, while other insurance companies may not allow you to waive your insurance and pay out of pocket for psychotherapy services (i.e., Colorado Medicaid).
Current Colorado law states that providers who are not "enrolled providers," are unable to bill Medicaid recipients out of pocket for services covered by Medicaid. Due to this law, Good Coping Counseling is NOT able to accept/treat individuals who are currently enrolled with Medicaid Insurance, as this practice is not an "enrolled provider" for Colorado Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid).
